SaaS Metrics Hub is a free educational reference for SaaS metrics. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and show advertising that funds it.

What we collect

This site has no user accounts, no sign-up forms, and no comment system. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send so we can respond. The calculators on this site run entirely in your browser — numbers you enter are never transmitted to us or stored.

Search, Metric Checker, and Metrics Advisor

Three features send the text you type to our server, which asks TypeSafe AI (hosted in the United States) to process it:

• Search box: it first looks for matching page titles in your browser. Only when that finds nothing and your search looks like a question is your search text sent, to find the page that best answers it.
• Metric Checker: the metric definition you paste is sent to check it against our rules.
• Metrics Advisor: the description of your business you enter is sent to classify its stage and model.

We do not store or log the text you send. We record only derived results, such as which pages were suggested, which checks passed, the classified stage, the model's confidence, and response times. TypeSafe states that it does not train models on the text it receives. Do not enter confidential or personal information in these tools. If you prefer not to send any text, browse the glossary and use the calculators instead, which run entirely in your browser.

Usage statistics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and whether the tools work for visitors. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) and receives technical information from your browser, including device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the time of your visit. Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy.

We limit what this site sends:

• Page addresses are sent as the path only, plus campaign tags (utm_*) if present. Calculator inputs, shared-result links, and other query parameters are removed first. If you arrive from another site, only that site's domain is sent.
• We record a few events with fixed labels: a calculator result was shown (which calculator), the Metric Checker or Metrics Advisor finished (which metric and a result category), the search box or a tool showed an error (which tool and an error type), a link between a guide and a tool was followed (the two page paths), and a template was downloaded (which template).
• We never send the numbers you enter, the definitions or descriptions you type, or your search text to Google Analytics.

You can block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Advertising and cookies

We are preparing to use Google AdSense to display advertising. When advertising is active, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons and device identifiers) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, to measure ad performance, and to prevent fraud. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve personalized ads where permitted.

• You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's My Ad Center.
• You can opt out of many third-party advertising cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
• How Google uses data from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Consent (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

Personalized advertising in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland is subject to Google's consent requirements. Hosting and server logs

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like virtually all web infrastructure, Cloudflare processes technical request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to deliver pages, protect against attacks, and produce aggregate traffic statistics. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors. Cloudflare's practices are described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for personalized advertising. For advertising preferences, use the Google controls linked above. For information you have sent to us by email or other privacy requests, contact us and we will help.

Children

This site is a professional reference intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves (for example if we add new analytics or ad partners). The effective date above always reflects the latest version.
